My Boys do the USO thing and visit the troops in Guam.

This is the south pacific version of the A-Team. We right wrongs with bananas and coconuts.

Just another hook-up on the road. To be fair, the Bison was really drunk and will probably wake up in a serious shame spiral.

Mike is everyone’s problem. That’s because every time he goes up in the air, he’s unsafe. I don’t like him because he’s dangerous.

I would’ve flown without him. I would’ve hated it…

Some pics from My Boys tour of Guam.

”I’ll never put on a lifejacket again. So, eleven hundred men went in the water; 316 men come out and the sharks took the rest, June the 29th, 1945. Anyway, we delivered the bomb.”

Me as a missionary circa 1580.

Ready, aim, fire!

Guam turns out to be pretty great. Here for next 3 days.

Who doesn’t like to be greeted with Guava juice? Our publicist, Tess, looks like she’s at her 10th birthday party with her two creepy uncles.

Wow, they couldn’t know me any better.

Looks like Bunin and I are in for a romantic getaway.

If you know me at all, you know that Koi ponds are one of my favorite things on earth. I don’t know why, but I love fish tanks. Very relaxing. I’ve already named them all. The white one looking at the camera is Steve.

Luckily, I’m here for Friday and Saturday.

I can tell you that japan takes their desserts very seriously.

This is a pound cake that is being shown off like a tiara. They got me. I brought a little duty free treats home. And by treats, I mean cake and whiskey.

Went to Japan, 3 Days, 4 Airports, 3 Flights, 8 hours in a bus, 2 shows. Not 1 hitch. Great job, USO!

I wish I had seen Japan, but never did. I’ll have to go back for that. Saw the Naval Bases. Met a lot of great people who are putting their lives on the line for our country. And we even made a couple of them laugh. You would think that the travel would have been painful but the USO is such a great organization. We were met at every gate. Taken care of at every turn. And I would like to thank all of the wonderful people who make it their job to ensure that the troops get a little taste of home in a foreign land. We were treated like rock stars. Got the feeling that a lot of them would rather be stationed at home but have gone where the navy needs them and for that I applaud them. It would be tough to be in a foreign land for a 3 year stint. I was stationed in San Diego and would go to the Miramar Officer’s Club for Wednesday night ladies night. Much easier time.

These are a few of my favorite things…in Japan.

For when I want to be not only refreshed, but also uplifted. Some find religion. I have found Coke.

These people take their desserts seriously. This whole country is fish and dessert treats.

On a bus, priority seating for… “Ventiloquists, John Hurt from “Alien”, Tap Dancers, and Guys sitting at little tables with their feet in the water”.

How many days can you stay in Japan? How many days can you eat fish.

Great Food, but I gotta admit not what I was thinking about for breakfast. Didn’t exactly go well with coffee. And the stuff in the upper right corner didn’t go well with anything. And yes, that is an egg and it needs a little more cooking.

Mike was actually less thrilled about breakfast than I was.

Flew into Nagasaki. Heard it’s beautiful and a must see. Did not as we got in a van and drove 2 hours to Sasebo. I’ll see you next time, Nagasaki.

Come along as Mike and I show you how your USO donations goes to support the troops.

Mike and I get a tour of the USO in Yokosuka, Japan. Great organization and your donations are much appreciated by the troops. It definitely makes it easier for the sailors to be away from home and family. And I can tell you from being here for one day that anything that helps these guys keep in touch with the states is money well spent.

Yokosuka, Japan. USO Tour!

USS Essex. Thanks for the tour.

Reminds me of my days in the Navy when I would be on watch as Officer of the Deck all night in the middle of the ocean. I used to sit in the Captain’s chair. I can admit that now. I don’t think I can get in trouble for it after all these years. At least I hope.

Deliciousness!

1900? Gonna be tough to do unless we time travel.Reminds me of Spinal Tap where Nigel just can’t figure out the time on base.

It’s either going to be a comedy show or we will be re-enacting the signing of the peace treaty in WWII.
